Children’s Ride-on Recalled

Peg Perego has recalled 3,000 children’s riding toy vehicles due to a fire and burn hazard. The ride-on bikes are intended to be used by children ages 5 to 7 years old. As stated in the recall, “a relay on the circuit board can fail causing the vehicle’s motor to overheat and ignite, posing fire and burn hazards.” [1] The toys were sold online at Amazon.com, Cabelas.com, Target.com, ToysRUs.com and Wal-Mart.com from October 2014 through May 2015. There have been three reports of vehicles overheating, including one report of a burn.
