Infant Bike Helmets Recalled for Choking, Magnet Ingestion Hazard

Pacific Cycle has issued a recall on its infant bicycle helmets with magnetic no-pinch buckle chin straps due to a choking and magnet ingestion hazard. As stated in the recall, “the magnetic buckle on the helmet’s chin strap contains small plastic covers and magnets that can come loose, posing a risk of choking and magnet ingestion to young children.” [1]

Nearly 130,000 of the child helmets were distributed across the country. The helmets were sold at Target stores and online at from January 2014 through April 2016. If you purchased one of these helmets, you can return it to Target for a full refund.
