Minor Collision – Should I Retain An Attorney?

Posted On 04/12/16

If you have been involved in a minor rear-end collision where there is minimal damage to your car and that you have had some minor neck sprain, or back sprain, should you retain an attorney?

If the injury is relatively minor, it is probably a good idea to call an attorney to get some free advice in how to handle the claim on your own. There are a number of lawyers who are willing to assist in that regard. Certainly we are.

A lawyer can advise you on what you need to settle a case. You will need to obtain your medical bills and your medical records. You also will need to negotiate a settlement of your injury (and property damage claim).

When the injuries are more serious and prolonged, attempting to negotiate the settlement on your own usually is a serious mistake, as the insurance adjuster will typically offer you dramatically less money than you would otherwise be entitled to.

Moreover, an attorney is usually knowledgeable about the liens that may attach to our settlement and be able to secure reduction in those liens.

Please contact us so that we can help you get the compensation you deserve.
