Safety First Step & Go Strollers Recalled Due To Fall Hazard
On August 24, 2016, Dorel Juvenile issued a recall of 20,000 of their Safety First Step and Go Travel Systems strollers. The stroller’s tray folding device can come off on one side when used with the infant car seat attached to the stroller. When the tray device detaches, it causes the stroller to become unbalanced, which allows it to fall to the side.
These strollers were sold from May 2015 through June 2016 at Babies R Us, online at Amazon.com, and other national retailers. If you purchased one of these strollers, you should stop using it immediately and contact Safety 1st for a free repair kit. So far there have been 30 reports of the stroller disengaging on one side, but luckily there have not been any reports of serious injuries to date.
